Volunteer driver to take people to appointments

Do you have a clean driving licence and spare time?

Asylum seekers often need to attend appointments in Stoke-on-Trent or further afield, such as to see a solicitor in Wolverhampton or the immigration officials in Solihull.

We are looking for some more volunteers to join our group of drivers.  You would need to use your own car and have a clean driving licence.  You will also need to tell your insurers about this additional use - although most insurers do not add an additional cost for volunteering.

We can reimburse petrol costs, but some of our drivers choose to contribute this as part of their support.

Volunteer for furniture collection and distribution

Do you have a clean driving licence and are fit to move furniture?

There are several people who come to us, who have no recourse to public funds, and have no safe place to sleep.  We try to ensure that the vulnerable are protected and are out of harm's way through our hosting scheme and destitution support 'guest houses'.

We are looking for someone to join our team which collects donations of furniture in our trusty van, and then distributes them to those in need.

You would need a clean driving licence, and hours can be arranged to suit.
